FERRY TERMINAL
The concept design embodies resilience, flexibility, and adaptability, addressing the specific requirements of solar harvesting, sun shading, and natural daylight. Through a pragmatic approach, the structure directly responds to its climatic conditions. The modular roof is designed to be oriented and angled to maximize sun exposure for solar panels according to location, while also allowing indirect light from the North. Simultaneously, operable sun shading devices contribute to a dynamic facade expression. The modular, rational, and repetitive design evokes both industrial harbor structures and naval history, establishing an architectural aesthetic that harmonizes with its physical and historical context. With a strong emphasis on industrial prefabrication, the system enables precise planning and production of the structural components, facilitating efficient assembly during the construction phase.
