EIDSBERG SPAREBANK
A modest bank building from the early 1980s stands at the heart of Mysen—structured, rhythmic, and clad in warm masonry.
Our transformation of the site is both careful and confident, expanding and renewing while remaining deeply attuned to the original architecture.
The design builds on the clarity of the existing structure: its measured repetition, its restrained materiality. A reclaimed brick, close in tone to the original but slightly lighter, marks the new additions. Over time, weather and age will deepen its color, drawing old and new ever closer.
Slender façade profiles with shifting depths echo the original rhythm, while introducing a contemporary precision. The additions are clearly of their own time, yet unmistakably related—like a new chapter written in the same language.
