Ferry Terminal 

A concept design for a ferry terminal in which the technical demands produce the architecture. Each roof module tilts and turns to put its solar panels at the best angle for the location, while letting indirect northern light into the spaces below; movable sun screens keep the facade in constant slow change.

Rational, repetitive and prefabricated, the building borrows its bearing from the working structures of the harbour and from shipbuilding, and sits naturally among them. The same modularity that shapes the form allows exact planning, factory production and quick assembly on the quay.
