NORDE GATE
This renovation merges Scandinavian simplicity with Mediterranean warmth, resulting in a compact yet generous home tailored to urban living. The floor plan was reconfigured to make better use of space—relocating the kitchen and bedroom to open up the living area while maintaining a functional two-bedroom layout. A movable kitchen island adds flexibility for everyday use and larger gatherings.
The design balances practicality with a coherent visual language. Warm, earthy tones and soft materials bring a sense of calm, while long curtains improve acoustics and privacy. Custom details—like an organically shaped rug, a curved bookshelf, and rounded fireproofing beneath the wood stove—introduce softness and subtle character.
A low wooden wall panel conceals electrical wiring and doubles as a narrow display shelf, blending function and expression. The project reflects a hands-on, personal approach—combining cultural influences and architectural insight to create a home that feels both thoughtful and lived-in.
