Ørje Torg
Ørje’s town square has neither clear edges nor much reason to linger; the masterplan begins by saying so. Worked out with local politicians, business owners and the municipal administration, the proposal builds on what the town already has in abundance: local production, volunteers, and a strong sense of itself.

New interventions sit among the existing buildings: a microbrewery, a creative youth club, a pizza restaurant, a multi-purpose greenhouse, and a mixed-use building pairing apartments with a public library. Each answers a specific gap. Together they give the square its definition, and a place where local producers can sell what they make in the middle of their own town.
